To keep your pond healthy during the winter, we recommend maintaining a water temperature of at least 8 °C. This prevents the pond from freezing over and allows you fish to still receive a bit of food during their winter rest. In addition, the filter can continue operating through the winter if it is suitably insulated. To reduce the amount of energy necessary to maintain the temperature of your pond, cover it properly with suitable insulation. To ensure adequate gas exchange, always maintain a distance of at least 20 cm between the insulation and the water surface.
